Mayor Daley has officially proclaimed January 27, 2011 the first ever “Concierge Day in Chicago”.It’s an opportunity to recognize and pay tribute to the men and women of Chicago who know the city best and want to share it with you.concierge-day

We’ve always known that our hotel has THE BEST CONCIERGE IN CHICAGO! If you’ve ever met Wallace, you probably know it too. No one else has as much passion, dedication and energy in trying to bring the best of the city to the guests he encounters. Whether he’s offering dinning suggestions, booking a city tour, finding the best deals or just asking ‘What have you got planned for today’, Wallace can help anyone feel at ease in our big city!

So in honor of “Concierge Day in Chicago” we thought it would be fun to showcase Wallace and his talents with a new contest called Wallace, the Windy City, and YOU! One lucky winner (and 3 of your friends or family)will get to spend the day with Wallace as he reveals some of his favorite spots in the city. Your day with Wallace will also include a one night stay in deluxe accommodations and breakfast.

I LOVE to see Broadway plays in Chicago! A couple of years ago, my “Posse” of girlfriends took the train to Chicago and saw the play “WICKED” at the Ford theatre – awesome time! In between, we shopped the “Miracle Mile” stores, ate lunch at the “Grand Lux”, sipped coffee/tea at the “Corner Bakery” and enjoyed the charm, hospitality and atmosphere of vibrant Chicago. What a privelege it would be for us to visit the city again in the company of it’s favorite citizen – the Mayor! I’m quite sure that he will give us incentives to never let 2 years lapse without revisiting Chicago again and again! What an awesome opportunity!
