Best Western River North’s Top 10 of 2010

2010 has been a busy year at Best Western River North Hotel. As the year winds down, we want to pause to remember a few of the highlights from this past year…

10.Our General Manager, Heidi Bitar, spoke with Chicago’s Mayor Daley at a press conference regarding tourism in Chicago.

9.Our hotel partnered with local non-profit, Open Books to help spread literacy throughout Chicago.We established an Open Bookshelf in our lobby, encouraged guests and staff to donate gently used books to the Open Books Bookstore, and spent the day volunteering with 4th and 5th grade students at a creative writing field trip!

8.As part of the Field Museum’s 10th anniversary of the Sue Exhibit, we hosted Walk Around Sue, an animatronic creature that brought guests face to face with one of history’s most feared animals!

7.Playhouse Disney’s hip-hop duo Choo Choo Souljoined our hotel as part of the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival.Not only did they ride atop the Best Westerns of Illinois float, Choo Choo Soul also met with some of their young fans!

6.Over the summer, one lucky family was chosen as winners of our Rocking Summer Sweepstakes.Their weekend in Chicago included tickets to the Demi Lovatoand Jonas Brothers concert, plus a very special meet and greet with all three Jonas Brothers!

5.For the third year in a row, Best Westerns of Illinois had a float in the Magnificent Mile Lights Parade down Michigan Avenue to kick off the official start of the holiday season in Chicago; lighting over 1 million lights down the famed avenue!

4.This year, we added to our already incredible staff with some new additions in each department, including one very special Mick Media, our new star of thesocial media world!

3.Where’s Wallace?All over Chicago, that’s where!If you’ve ever met our bellmanWallace, you’ve certainly experienced his infectious enthusiasm for his city and his guests.And now he can take it with as he highlights some of what Chicago has to offer!

2.A new year and a new look!All 150 of our guest rooms have under gone a total transformation.We’ve added new furniture, bedding, and brand new flat screen t.v.’s to make your stay even more comfortable!

1.Free Parking!We continue to be the only hotel in downtown Chicago to offer Free Parking to each and every one of our guests for added value and convenience for your Chicago visit!
