Located between Michigan Avenue and Lake Michigan, Grant Park is Chicago’s principal downtown park. The Park’s geometric design consists of a series of bridges crossing the Railway tracks that are still on the park’s compound. After the bridges, the park is divided in sections with lawns, trees and monuments, one of them being a statue of Abraham Lincoln. The front near Michigan Lake provides a favorite track for many strollers, joggers and bikers.

I’ve seen this fountain many times. My favorite time was during the Chicago Marathon. There were so many people there. The fountain seemed bigger than ever & I couldn’t fit it all in my camera. My son was 2 1/2 & we pushed our way thru all the people so he could see the beautiful fountain.

The Lincoln Park Zoo is great. There is actually a great variety & what is so special is that it is free!!! It’s easy & simple to get around inside, too.
