Chicago Gourmet Food Festival

Chicago foodies go wild for Bon Appétit presents Chicago Gourmet 2012, a three-day celebration of fine wine and innovative food. Held in Millennium Park, the festival is a gourmand’s dream come true, and a chance to sample some of Chicago’s best food and wine creations.

If you love food, especially the gourmet variety, you won’t want to miss Chicago Gourmet 2012. This festival is presented by Bon Appétit magazine, and is in its fifth year.
The Grand Cru is a chance to sample fine wines from dozens of wineries under the direction of Chicago’s master sommeliers, and a ticket to the two-hour event alone is $175.

The Hamburger Hop, held on Friday, is $97, and is a popular “showdown” between 15 top chefs of Chicago as they vie for the ultimate burger creation. It’s held at Harris Rooftop Theater.

Held from September 28 to 30, the celebration of food and wine takes place in Millennium Park. There are more than 100 Chicago chefs and restaurants represented. Advance tickets are available for purchase and vary in what they offer. $334 will get you the American Express Ticket Package for one day, and includes admission to the Grand Cru.
